Privacy Policy

1. Controller

Marco Kammradt, Floraring Nord 52, 15370 Fredersdorf-Vogelsdorf, Germany. Email: info@plainva.com.

2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany (EU). When you visit, the server processes technically necessary access data (IP address, date and time, requested resource, referrer, user agent) in log files to provide the site securely and reliably and to defend against attacks — legal basis Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with Hetzner. Log data is deleted or anonymised after a short period.

3. Encryption (TLS)

For security reasons this website uses TLS encryption (https).

4. Local storage (theme preference)

If you use the light/dark toggle, the website stores your choice locally in your browser (localStorage, key “theme”). This happens only through your active choice, serves solely the display you requested, and is not transmitted to us. No cookies are set for tracking purposes.

5. Contacting us by email

If you contact us by email, we process your details in order to handle your request (Art. 6 (1)(b) or (f) GDPR).

6. Mobile app notification

If you sign up via the form for a notification about the upcoming mobile app, we process your email address solely to notify you once about the launch — on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR) using a double opt-in procedure (you first receive a confirmation email that you must click). We store the addresses in the self-hosted software Listmonk on our own server at Hetzner (Germany, EU). The emails are delivered via Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited); this may involve a transfer to the USA, safeguarded by the EU standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email or by emailing us.

7. External links to funding platforms

We link to GitHub Sponsors, Ko-fi and Liberapay, as well as to GitHub (source code, user guide). Only when you click such a link do you leave this website; the privacy policy of the respective provider then applies. We do not transmit any personal data to these services ourselves.

8. No analytics or tracking

This website currently uses no analytics or tracking services.

9. Your rights

You have the right to information (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

10. Withdrawal of consent

You can withdraw consent you have given at any time with effect for the future.
