Android Beta
Test Plainva on your phone
Plainva is coming to mobile, and you can help shape it. The mobile app opens the same Markdown vault as the desktop app and keeps it in sync through your own cloud — Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, WebDAV/Nextcloud or S3. No account with me, no extra subscription.
The beta runs through Google Play's testing program. Joining takes two steps.
How to join
1. Join the testers group
Google Play checks group membership to let you into the test, so this step comes first. Use the same Google account that your phone's Play Store is signed in with.
2. Become a tester and install
Open the test link on your phone, tap Become a tester, then install (or update) Plainva from Google Play. It can take a few minutes after joining before the app shows up as available.
Good to know
- It's an early build. Keep a backup of your vault — just good sense with any beta.
- Your notes never leave your own cloud. Plainva has no server in the middle.
- Already on desktop? The mobile app syncs the very same vault, so your notes are simply there.
Found something? Tell me
Bugs, rough edges and ideas are exactly what the beta is for. The best place is GitHub Discussions; you can also reply in the testers group.
On an iPhone? iOS testing runs separately through TestFlight — join the waitlist on plainva.com and I'll send you the link.
